Deep Fried Lard 2016
A day of games, a few pints and a curry, what’s not to like. This fourth running of Deep Fried Lard was held on Saturday 18th June in Musselburgh Rugby Club near Edinburgh. Almost thirty gamers came along to play games from the TooFatLardies stable.
Richard Clarke came all the way from St Albans to run two games of Sharp Practice 2 set in the Indian Mutiny.
Two quite different games using the same scenario and one win for the British and one for the Mutineers.

I intend to organise the event again in 2017, probably on either June 4th or July 1st. If you would like to be put on the emailing list for news about the event please contact me at dmchodge@gmail.com
Richard Clarke has posted some more pictures along with a battle report of one of his Indian Mutiny games on the Lard Island News blog. And there are some more photographs in this album on Google Photos.
Many thanks to Micheal Scott, Gerard Cassels and David Sargent for letting me use their photographs.
That gate house is stunning. Where did it come from?
It’s an unreleased prototype from Mike Scott of Supreme Littleness Designs http://www.supremelittleness.co.uk/ Laser cut mdf, though you’d never guess to look at it.
