Notes: There was some debate on the TooFatLardies discussion group as to whether the rifle Gruppes should be eight or ten men.  Dom Skelton (of Dom’s Decals fame) posted

“I’d be strongly inclined towards 10 man sections, especially given your BEF opposition – schutzen had a “book” strength of 12 men + 2 drivers, so 8 is quite considerably understrength, especially vs BEF, who presumably are also in 8s, when 8 was actually *full* strength for them in 1940, the 10 man section not appearing in the British army until late ’41. By having both sides at 8 men you’re effectively pitching the British in at 100% strength and the Germans at 67%.”

Well, I was convinced and I’ve altered  the OOB.    More painting.
